With some of the comments Janet Napolitano has made since Obama appointed her as his Secretary of Homeland Security, it's been easy to question her ability to keep our Homeland safe.
Today, she made an appearance on one of the Sunday morning TV shows, and she was questioned about the attempt to blow up a plane as it was landing in Detroit on Christmas day. Her answer was, "Everyone acted properly to handle this situation. The passengers, the pilots and crew, the ground crew, - they all did what they were supposed to do."
The host then noted that all those things were only possible because the explosive malfunctioned. How did a person like this get a visa to enter the US, and how did he board a plane with explosives in the first place?
Her answer was, "Well, we're checking that out." - Then she repeated that we should be happy and proud that everyone responded so well to apprehend the suspect.
It's becoming pretty obvious that her appointment was either a payoff for her support during Obama's Presidential campaign, or she was appointed because she would go along with whatever Obama wanted, and she wouldn't "rock the boat'. -She would be easy for Obama to handle.
We need a much stronger person directing our Homeland Security!
